Designed for discerning and demanding professional boom operators and location sound recordists, the Ambient Recording QuickPole Series 5 Slim-Short 4-Section Carbon Fiber Boompole offers the ultralight weight of Ambient’s QXS poles and the stability of its QP series booms. The Slim edition offers a thinner version of QuickPole Series 5 boompoles sporting 30mm tube diameters. And with only four sections, it is also lighter. The QuickPole Slim-Long extends from 3.3 to 10.8′.

The tubes are made from a custom carbon fiber compound with UHM fiber layering, yielding impressive sturdiness. Anti-twist mechanisms of the pole sections use serrations instead of retention pins, making it effortless to disassemble and reassemble your pole for cleaning and maintenance. Additional design enhancements allow the QuickPole Slim-Long to lock and unlock with a mere quarter turn and to quickly extend and collapse.

Thanks to the removable tip and separately available cable sets, the boompole can easily be configured for internal cabling, no soldering required.

Special Carbon Fiber Compound

• QuickPole Series 5 booms are made of a custom-made carbon fiber compound with added UHM fiber layering. This technology makes the QuickPole Series 5 boompole very sturdy and superlightweight at the same time.

Fast Extending and Collapsing

• On set, you have to work fast. The QuickPole Series 5 addresses that with a key featurethe new Teflon sheet plus silicone-lubricated felts that make for silky-smooth extending and collapsing of the boompole.
• The telescoping function of the pole works so efficiently that you’ll be able to capture any sound source.
• The re-engineered locks give you a better grip thanks to the refined knurling and slightly extended length.
• By tuning the threading further, only a quarter turn is needed to open and close the locks securely and quickly.

Intersectional Twist Protection

• A new anti-twist mechanism utilizes an innovative serration in place of a retention pin.
• The lock pieces automatically fall into place when you disassemble and reassemble your pole for cleaning or maintenance, making the process effortless.
